Long Distant Cycle Trails or Routes

Trans Pennine Trail
The Coast to Coast route across northern England. From Southport / Liverpool ( West) to Hull / Hornsea (East), crossing the Peak District National Park with north and south links to York, Leeds and Sheffield. Combines purpose built paths along railways, canals and riversides with quiet roads, bridlepaths and cycle paths.

Lancashire Cycleway (260 miles long).
The Lancashire Cycleway comprises two circular routes (Northern Loop Route 90 and Southern Loop Route 91) which meet in the historic village of Whalley.
The Cycleway follows minor roads where possible and takes in a host of different landscapes from the rugged Bowland Fells and West Pennine Moors to the rich pastures of the Fylde plain and the outstanding coastal scenery of the Silverdale Area.
