
Welcome to our website, the South Lakes Group is a local group of the Rough-Stuff Fellowship a off-road cycle touring club. The group organises weekly rides, camping weekends and YHA weekends in Cumbria, North Lancashire and the Yorkshire Dales. We cater for riders with a wide range of abilities and ages so that all our members can enjoy countryside.
The Rough-Stuff Fellowship was founded in 1955 with aim of banding together those cyclists who traverse rougher and quieter routes as part of their pastime, to add to their enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside. The group also meets up with other local groups of the Rough-Stuff Fellowship for camping & youth hostel weekends and with our national club for the Easter Meet and the Autumn Meet.
