Forthcoming Events of South Lakes Group

 

Our rides are open to cyclists of all abilities, all ages and on all types of cycle(perhaps with the exception of lightweight racers, we do go off road). They are easy paced, non-competitive social rides usually calling at one cafe in the morning but participants are ask to bring a pack lunch on all South Lakes Group rides. If you are a non-member you are welcome to join us for two or three rides, check us out, and then hopefully become a member (It is only £12.00 per year!). Just turn up on the day or for further information call Simeon on 01524-811843 after 6.00pm

 

The following members are designated leaders for the South Lakes Group and authorised by the committee: Peter Kenner, Fred Lloyd, Pat Lloyd, Cliff Brown, Bryan Lynch, Don Dalton, Barrie Usherwood, Nick Lay and Simeon Orme. For full list of members who authorised to lead rides click here.

Saturday 26th: A ride to Cobble Hey. Meet at the Denny Beck carpark near Halton at 10.00am.

 

August

Saturday 2nd: A ride around Wensleydale. Meet at National Parks carpark in Hawes at 10.00am.

Sunday 10th: A ride to Borrowdale (Shap). Meet at the carpark at Tweitfield at 10.00am.

Sunday 17th: A ride to Walna Scar. Meet at the Rigg Wood carpark on the east side of Coniston Water at 10.00am.

Saturday 23rd: A ride over Foxup Moor. Meet at the National Parks Carpark in Clapham at 10.00am.

Saturday 30th: A ride to Feizor. Meet at the Deny Beck carpark near Halton at 10.00am.

 

September

Saturday 6th: A ride over Nan Bield and Gatescarth Passes. Meet at Ashes Lane car park on A591 between Kendal and Stavely at 10.00am.

Sunday 14th: A ride to Killington Reservior. Meet at the carpark at Tweitfield at 10.00am.

Sunday 21st: A ride to Seathwaite. Meet at the Rigg Wood carpark on the east side of Coniston Water at 10.00am.

Saturday 27th: A ride to Ribblehead. Meet at the Deny Beck carpark near Halton at 10.00am.

 

October

Saturday 4th: A ride to Askham Fell. Meet at 10.00am at the carpark near the public toilets in Shap at 10.00am.

Saturday 11th: A ride to the Winster Valley. Meet at 10.00am at the carpark at Tweitfield  (Please note that we will meet riders on Autumn Meet Weekend at Arnside at the coffee Stop).

Sunday 12th: A ride to Scout Hill. Meet at 10.00am at the carpark at Tweitfield (Please note that we will meet riders on Autumn Meet Weekend  at Arnside at the coffee Stop.).

Sunday 19th: A ride to Parkamoor. Meet at the race course carpark in Cartmel at 10.00am.

Saturday 25th: A ride to Chipping. Meet at the Denny Beck Car park near Halton at 10.00am.
