Forthcoming Events of South Lakes Group

 

Our rides are open to cyclists of all abilities, all ages and on all types of cycle(perhaps with the exception of lightweight racers, we do go off road). They are easy paced, non-competitive social rides usually calling at one cafe in the morning but participants are ask to bring a pack lunch on all South Lakes Group rides. If you are a non-member you are welcome to join us for two or three rides, check us out, and then hopefully become a member (It is only £12.00 per year!). Just turn up on the day or for further information call Simeon on 01524-811843 after 6.00pm

 

The following members are designated leaders for the South Lakes Group and authorised by the committee: Peter Kenner, Fred Lloyd, Pat Lloyd, Cliff Brown, Bryan Lynch, Don Dalton, Barrie Usherwood, Nick Lay and Simeon Orme. For full list of members who authorised to lead rides click here.

Saturday 27th: A ride to Dentdale: Meet at Denny Beck car park near Halton at 10.00am.

Sunday 28th: A ride to Dunsop Bridge: Meet at Denny Beck car park near Halton at 10.00 am.

Saturday 4th: A ride to Skiddaw House: Meet at the car park near Parkgate Farm, Dockray on the A5091

Sunday 12th: A ride to Staveley: Meet at 10.00am at the car park at Tewitfield.

Sunday 19th: A ride down the Dudderdale: Meet at the car park at Rigg Wood on the East Side of Coniston Water.

Saturday 25th: A ride to Feizor: Meet at Denny Beck car park near Halton at 10.00am.

 

August

Saturday 1st: A ride around the Upper Eden Valley: Meet at the free car park in Kirkby Stephen at 10.00 am.

Sunday 9th: A ride to Borrowdale: Meet at 10:00am at the carpark at Tewitfield.

Sunday 16th: A ride over Nan Bield and Gatescarth Passes: Meet at 10.00am at Ashes Lane car park on A591 between Kendal and Staveley.

Saturday 23rd: A ride up Kingsdale and down Barbondale: Meet at 10.00am at the Denny Beck Car park near Halton.

Saturday 29th: A ride to Greenfield in Langstrothdale: Meet at 10.00am in Horton-in-Ribblesdale by the toilets at the National Parks car park..

 

September

Saturday 5th: A ride to Arten Gill: Meet at 10.00am at the carpark on Tom Croft Hill on the A684 near Sedbergh.

Sunday 13th: A ride to Underbarrow: Meet at 10.00am at the carpark at Tewitfield.

Sunday 20th: A ride to Morland: Meet at 10.00am at the carpark in Shap.

Saturday 26th A ride to Dentdale: Meet at 10.00am at the Denny Beck car park near Halton.
