Wednesday 24th June: A ride along High Street Roman Road track.

At the start of the track near Limefit Park.

The Beacon at Thornthwaite Crag at 784 metres it had taken us just over 3 hours to get to this point from the start at Kirkstone Pass.

The view of the track looking from High Street, I should point out that three of the party left us at the Straits of Riggindale to follow the bridleway down to Haywater, then to Hartsop and then back to the cars at Kirkstone Pass.

At the finish of the ride at top of Kirkstone Pass just after seven o’clock, we been out for just over nine hours and done just under 34 miles .
