Saturday 22nd August: A ride up the Lune Valley to Casterton.

The cake photo at the tearoom at Wray.

Peter following the bridleway down to the River Greta from Bull Bank Farm near Wrayton, unfortunately we could find crossing point or bridge over the river so retrace our steps back to the road.

Looking back to start of the bridleway from Cantsfield to Tunstall.

The bridge over Cant Beck.

Peter heading across the field toward Tunstall, the exits for bridleway is by the white house in the distance.

Apples hanging over garden wall in Tunstall.

Rare photo of  your Area Secretary at the start of the bridleway from Tunstall to Nether Burrow.

Well I only rode a few yards for show but we push our bikes along the track.

Peter shutting gate at the bridleway through field of Sweet Corn.

We followed the bridleway from the A683 at Nether Burrow to the River Lune where the bridleway runs through a private garden before  crossing the River Lune.

We stop to have our lunch by the River Lune before heading back up the bridleway back to Nether Burrow.

Aftenoon cafe stop at the tearoom at Kirkby Lonsdale Station.

Heading along Fellfoot Road.

A bit further along Fellfoot Road.

With Autumn only a few weeks away there a lot fruit in the hedgerows.

A view of Tiplot Wood at end of the Fellfoot Road.
